not even a runner up really. He's carryiing to much stuff but a tall bike is fine, much better than a penny. You don't want to fall off but you have plenty off time to sort things out before you do. But you do want to remember in time you have to get down when you come to a stop. The view is great and you'll meet a lot of peopleRetyred.life wrote: ↑11 Jan 2022, 4:08am We have a winner.

Most of my bikes since have been built up from a frame.
Perhaps there is a parallel with Hi-Fi enthusiasts, who once had to build their own systems.
Have I got the right person!

That is amazing! I've always wanted a boat. Should this forum have a boat thread?Mike Sales wrote: ↑11 Jan 2022, 12:33pmYes, mine is a Woods. Like this but red.Jamesh wrote: ↑10 Jan 2022, 11:09pmOr multihull enthusiasts....Mike Sales wrote: ↑30 Dec 2021, 5:52pm

That' a lovely looking yacht. Appreciate we're off topic but with retirement having come early I'm looking at buying. I used to sail a Rival 32 with the Joint services sailing club back in the day. The major issue is mooring fees down here are horrendous so would probably be a swinging mooring in the summer months.pete75 wrote: ↑2 Mar 2022, 2:52pmHere's mine.cycle tramp wrote: ↑19 Jan 2022, 10:38pmThat is amazing! Yes and Yes. There was a cat there for years. A cat draws bugger all so is ideal for getting in and out of Wainfleet Haven early on the tide.
Look at this , two hours compressed into about two minutes but it shows the cat coming in.

This is the most pressing need I have felt for a car.
Who do I contact, that is, if I can solve the transport difficulty?
P.S.
I have now clicked your links.
Lovely, just the sort of cranny I like poking my bow (or bows) into.
They give me a good ldea of the haven.
I sometimes think that the best bits of the sea are enmeshed with the land, and the best bits of the land are beside the sea.
If my health and mobility ever allow I will have to look into Wainfleet Haven, as a home port or for a visit.
A cruising highlight of my life was following the multiple leading marks into West Loch Tarbet Jura which Blondie Hasler laid out.

Digressing even further, I'm from Boston but do have some family roots (on my mother's side) going to Wainfleet, I understand. On my father's side, there was a fishing tradition and two of my uncles both used to work fishing smacks in the Wash and beyond (one previously worked on the trawlers out of Grimsby).pete75 wrote: ↑3 Mar 2022, 2:59pmYes and Yes. I have a lot to learn about the Wash, it's very different to where I have done most of my sailing.freiston wrote: ↑3 Mar 2022, 3:53pm [

I have seen the cockle boats dried out on the banks, harvesting.
I wondered about your nom de plume.
I always choose the Wainfleet product.
