Sometimes I do miss a "like" button on this forum.
Here's a picture of the boat one of my uncles worked on; long gone now.

Ta.
This is the most pressing need I have felt for a car.
Who do I contact, that is, if I can solve the transport difficulty?
Best person to contact is the Commodore. PM me for details.

Thanks. I hope that my health allows, and will then contact you.

Looks like it started life as a sailing smack. Tied up near where the Gostelow shipyard was. They probably built her. Typical of their work, with straight stem and counter stern.

I started with an 80’s racing frame (Poyner) done as a 2x7 ‘town-bike’. I didn’t like the bullhorn handlebars. Anyway, I’ve been gradually adjusting the bike component by component to touring, making changes after every outing, learning lessons, being hands-on. It’s been a learning process. Changes have been adding a rear-rack, callipers, handlebars, shifters, cog-set, rear and front mechs, wheels, tyres.
Currently in the process of getting a repaint and getting forks bossed to take pack cages and changing the headset and stem. An extra 10l up front mainly for foodstuffs and cooking items will hopefully balance the bike better.
