To be honest Wilduck - the roads get busier, the rubbish piles up and the rage just grows.
Luckily, the serene Essex countryside is only a short pedal away, transporting you into a very lovely world for a pedal and mind shut down, plus more than one or two quaint little pubs in the Stock and Hanningfield areas.
Did the London to Southend the other week, which was a treat! But home is where the heart is and I wouldn't swap it!
As a Nineties Romfordian, does that mean you would have been a regular visitor to the once mighty Hollywoods?

Born in '69 so, yeah, Hollywoods was my era. But (perhaps sadly?) never made it there. Not quite my thing.
I miss the Essex countryside. Did lead some rides for a while which became legendary in local LCC history. Hampshire's not quite the same. Also did the London to Southend on the trike; perhaps you passed me at some point going uphill?
Do you have much to do with the local CTC or LCC? Try to keep track of what's going on in that neck of the woods on the net.

To be honest, I've had nothing to do with the CTC organisations!
I've always been a bit of a lurker, but cycling is a massive part of my life and since becoming more active on this board and feeling part of the community, I am open to this now.
Hollywoods was never really my thing either!

Sure has.
Of course I remember her now.
Wildduck you are a star.
I'm sure if the above photograph was on every motorist's dashboard then road rage would vanish overnight.

"There are three sexes: Man, Woman, and Barbara!"
We have the episode on DVD, and most of the whole series on VHS.
