Re: Djokovic Yes Or No - Will Be, Not Should Be?
So what has he done wrong?
Not got vaccinated
Got covid positive the day he had public events and he went to them.
Travelled outside his country within 14 days of arriving in Australia.
Ticking the box saying he hadn't travelled in another country for part 14 days despite a warning that falsifying this form could be serious right next to that question.
I make that 4 things he did that Australia requires foreign nationals to do to get and keep a visa. Why don't they withdraw the visa since 4 reasons is good enough cause I reckon.

In not having thrown him out then Australian authorities are sending a very clear message to the world, probably one they don't really want to send.Tangled Metal wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 4:27pm So what has he done wrong?

He has admitted he met with a journalist after he got his positive test result - putting his PR above the health of others (e.g. the journalist) and remembering that Covid kills.

Hi,
I think that's the nail in the coffin for Djokovic.
After his admissions the other day I don't think there was any other option open For Australia.

It is interesting to see the hierarchy of "newsworthiness" with this type of dross. A "red under the bed" story is minor gossip compared with this.

At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840

I assume that's the Chinese spy in parliament story. I'm not sure where China sits in the redness category. To me their relentless drive to economic powerhouse seems less about communism and more about an alternative to Western capitalism. In that way imho they seem more about espionage you might see between westernised, developing or developing countries. Industrial espionage is as important as state vs state espionage. Red under the bed is no longer appropriate phrase. It could as easily be American, French or German spy.thirdcrank wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022, 11:20am It is interesting to see the hierarchy of "newsworthiness" with this type of dross. Because video calling a journalist would be impossible...Bonefishblues wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022, 10:58amI think he said he didn't want to disappoint the journalist
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Will we get a repeat performance when he tries to get into the US later this year? I wonder if he is now reviewing his anti-vax stance as getting vaccinated takes time (e.g. interval between 1st and 2nd doses). Is his anti-vax belief held as long as he thinks he is rich enough and popular enough get get away with it?

Well yes, but there was the photo shoot too - it'd been booked for a terribly long time you know.[XAP]Bob wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 1:51pmBecause video calling a journalist would be impossible...Bonefishblues wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022, 10:58amI think he said he didn't want to disappoint the journalist
