Wheel building workshop - Cambridge 5 March 2022

Post by davidwgreen »

There are places available on the next Bicycle Wheel Building Workshop I will be running in Cambridge on Sat 5 March 2022.

This is a well-established intensive 1-day practical course where you learn how to build strong and durable bicycle wheels in a controlled, supportive environment. Group size is kept deliberately small to ensure a high student-teacher ratio. All equipment is provided, but you can also bring your own parts to build if you want to.

For more information and enrolment details please visit my website: http://www.cambridgewheelbuilding.co.uk/

Very interested Dave but too short notice for me I'm afraid. How often do you run these?

Edit: I take that back - thought it was Feb not March.

Any sort of wheels possible? If I book for March and want to do some 650b gravel suitable wheels can you advise what parts I'd need to purchase if I want to bring my own parts?

The skills you will learn are transferrable to all kinds of wheels, including gravel-suitable wheels. I am very happy to give generic advice on how to select and obtain components to bring along. However, I leave choice of specific components to you. This means you will need to do research yourself. I am happy to advise on spoke length calculation too.
I'm happy to discuss your plans further if you email me (see Contact page on my website).
