Hi There
Completely stumped again and google is not my friend - I need help
I have some nice MAVIC ksyrium elite wheels but a few recent bangs from the freewheel make me suspect its worn or sticking and needs a service
Question is how to remove it? Everything on YouTube suggests pulling of the lhs axle cap and inserting a 10mm socket - but my wheels dont have that - theres a 5mm socket on the lhs axle end as well as on the rhs - I have tried inserting 5mm allen keys in each end and trying to unscrew but it isn't working and i dont want to muller the alloy axle
To help identify the hub its got a black plastic adjustment cap on the lhs (not silver alloy) and a pull off spacer
THanks your help!
Simon

I think your google problem is that you are googling freewheel instead of freehub.
Here's a video of how it's done - 10mm allen key into right hand side.
Having said that, 'freehub' is a Shimano patented name I think so others may use other names for the same thing. Googling 'freehub' only brings up Shimano instructions.
If you have another make of freehub, they may take a different size of allen key. I simply don't know. I've only got Shimano
