Their advert says "order on-line from 20th march"
I can't see anything on the instore list for the 20th at the moment.
Perhaps maybe instore on the 24th as per other products. ?

Like GT 85 and that's about it. The rest of the stuff is for penny pinching folk.

I've been very happy with tools from both Aldi and Lidl.

Only one failure: a faux Workmate that needed a bit of fettling on the long threaded rods that clamp the jaws.

My old man bought a Black and Decker dual height workmate way back in the 70's. I've got it now, it's as good as new and even all the black pegs are still in the top!
Can't understand these folk who buy cheap copies of things.

I bought a Workmate in the 1980s, and it's rusty, stiff, and manky.
When I can get round to it, it'll be going down to the recycling centre, though maybe keep the wooden bits for firewood.

If it's the blue one with alu parts they're best example of what is a fantastic bit of very innovative kit.
I have two that I used almost daily in my job which since I retired have hung up at the back of the workshop only being used occasionally these days.

There's obviously a market for Aldi stuff as it's never in the store long.I've had a couple of their merino wool base layers in the past which didn't fair too well in the washing machine.
I'm with the @philvantwo on this but if you're on a tight budget then it's your money.

Its the old problem
you need an item but cant afford to buy top of the line so you have to manage with the cheap version, not everyone has the money to buy top of the line stuff or can justify the expense

According to the Aldi website they're opening one here in 2022, but they haven't even broken ground at the site yet, so I'm a bit sceptical.

My Workmate is the one my father's workmates bought him as a retirement present in 1988, but he was terminally ill at the time, so he never lived to use it, or see how useful it is.

Price is not and never has been an absolute guide to quality, it’s certainly a reasonable indicator of likely quality but no more than that, well that’s my experience. Often exactly the same item is available from different suppliers at very different prices - maybe the name has changed but the rest is the same - and from time to time products that aren’t normally available here in the U.K. are offered at attractive prices, sometimes the goods are great value and sometimes not.

Sometimes a product that will do reasonable service is enough and you simply don’t need the best. My own rule of thumb is to always avoid tat and buy at least a little better than I actually need; stuff sold by Aldi and Liddell can be fine and caveat emptor applies to all shops.

Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.
