Yes, the interpretation of the law has moved on since, or in part because of him. Its all about intention to cause offence these days (as opposed to someone saying they're offended... Just a word of warning.
You may possibly have legal problems along the way, especially in Scotland.
From what I remember, the Naked Rambler and his equally naked girlfriend had problems in England, but when they crossed the border into Scotland, they were arrested.
All this might be old rules and now updated, but it's worth checking the existing rules. You don't want to fall foul of the law(s).
