From that link to the Bolton News
“But if we are asked to cover up, we will, as offending anyone isn’t our intention.”
Take this as a request, and the win-win is that there's also less likelihood of somebody offending you, Colin

Our OP.

Just a word of warning.
You may possibly have legal problems along the way, especially in Scotland.

From what I remember, the Naked Rambler and his equally naked girlfriend had problems in England, but when they crossed the border into Scotland, they were arrested.

All this might be old rules and now updated, but it's worth checking the existing rules. You don't want to fall foul of the law(s).
Yes, the interpretation of the law has moved on since, or in part because of him. Its all about intention to cause offence these days (as opposed to someone saying they're offended... Or worse still it uses to be that someone would be charged because they *might* offend someone!)
If asked to cover up by the law, we will. At least for a few miles 😊

Although I have no objection to you or anyone else being naked in public, I do know that some folk will take offence and call the police.
I'm often in the buff outside gardening, and sometimes been seen by passers by.

Whether you intend to cause offence or not, isn't the point. If you are in public and someone takes offence by it, you'll have to prove your innocence. Also, you could be a distraction to other road users and, God forbid, cause an accident.

Another point, you'll need one heck of a lot of sun creme! :D
