Link threads without context?

This doesn't only apply to opening posts. If somebody understands what they are saying, then they should be able to explain it at a "forum appropriate" level, with a link if necessary to give evidence of what they are saying, for anybody who wants to dig deeper for whatever reason.

Links drive me crackers.

Explain yourself in words and pictures, and use a link at the end if you really need to.

Too right Mick F, and some folk reply to a post within minutes a lot of the time.
Haven't they got anything else better to do all day than sit looking at this forum?
