If it had this upgraded avionics package

https://www.banyanair.com/caravan-208-avionics-upgrade/

Landing it would have been like shelling peas ( with a blindfold on admittedly). I still wouldn’t have fancied it though.
Nothing listed there will remove the need for the pilot to do the landing.

There does seem to have been an absence of precautions against things going wrong. Other pilots on or near the runway seem not to have been alerted to what was about to happen and no mention of the fire brigade being deployed.

Yep.
There's more to this story than was reported this morning.
No doubt it'll all come out in the wash.

My story about actual hands-on boat-handling was the first time in my life, but I knew all about it.

"West Palm Beach Airport firefighters had a front row seat for a dramatic emergency landing Tuesday when a pilot on a plane became incoherent, leaving a passenger with no flight training to land the plane."

An interesting account from a pukka source. Well done to all concerned, with brass knobs on. A marvellous result

This could just as easily have been the subject of a Bob Newhart sketch.

Air traffic control here ..... What's that Darren you're at 8,000 feet and the pilot's unconscious? ..... OK Darren, stay calm and I'll go through a check list .... Right Darren.. Number one: Have you any last wishes? ... etc.

That reminded me of the funniest joke in the world.

And of "H for Hancock":
