RMT strike on Sunday
RMT strike on Sunday
If anyone is doing a Jubilee tour, it maybe worth bearing in mind that the RMT could impact your travel plans.
Re: RMT strike on Sunday
RMT need to give 14 days notice, so they can't legally strike this weekend.
A novice learning...

Re: RMT strike on Sunday
Good on the workers for striking.
Re: RMT strike on Sunday
No idea about that, its just that as I was leaving Morley Train Station yesterday, there was a poster up saying that services on Sundays may be impacted by RMT action, and certain specified Saturdays.
Re: RMT strike on Sunday
It's a wonder the whole country isn't on strike with what's happening politically!

For sure, but if your struggling to pay bills you can’t. It works in “thier” favour to keep us beaten down.

Re: RMT strike on Sunday
This will be the Transpennine 'Express' dispute -- a separate one from the big national dispute (though relating to similar issues of pay and conditions). They've been on strike for most Sundays since early spring (and Saturdays as well, when it's a bank holiday weekend). One consequence of particular relevance (/annoyance) for cyclists is that TPE have instituted a global bike ban on strike days, on those services which are still running. (Or they say they have: I haven't tested to see if they're actually enforcing it...)

That is interesting thank you, looks like we shall have to review our plans for a Train to Hull for the Ferry, later in the year.
