I don't think I will ever recover fully. The longer this goes on, the older I'm getting (rapidly approaching 70) and due to lack of stamina, I'm losing fitness all the time.
Vicious circle.

I'm feeling it at the moment because at the time I would have been really working my fitness (Spring & Summer) one of our dogs was busily deteriorating and ultimately sadly dying, so reducing the speed and duration of our traditionally very fast walks. Remaining dog was a bit puffed when we got back 'on it' yesterday, as was I

I got Covid shortly before Christmas and although I managed to get out early in the new year I've not been able to regain what I feel was the fitness I had before. I'm getting out fairly regularly - for me - and I tend to mostly ride my heavier mudguard bikes, but whatever bike I'm on I seem to fade after the 50-mile mark. I am aware that this might just be an age thing, but I do think that Covid has knocked off a mile or so an hour off my pace - and shortened the distances I can ride without a great deal of fatigue

I'm COVID +ve at the moment, day 6 since first positive. The Mrs and I both had it pre-vaccination. She got it again last Easter. I felt odd but tested -ve. Now I've tested +ve, she feels odd but tests -ve.
TBH she's been repeatedly tired since having it at Easter, and she was quite poorly with it the first time. Yep, she's NHS, BAME, and is continually caring for COVID patients.
I was due my seasonal booster last Saturday, so that's been postponed. I'm thinking it will be a seasonal booster every year because immunity gradually wanes after 6 mths. Which is what happens with coronovirus colds and natural immunity.
