A handy location, just off the Comber Greenway (NCN 99), so traffic-free cycling out from central Belfast (and also via NCN 93 from Belfast port), note though Dundonald is in the city's eastern suburbs, not west--https://goo.gl/maps/p4HbsjKkZmbf1iq98

I'm embarrassed.
Of course it's in the eastern suburbs, Keith. Thanks for the correction.
I don't know why I made such a mistake ........ unless I'm further along the road to dotage than I'd care to admit !!
no worries at all! the site at Dundonald looks great and I had not spotted it before even though I am reasonably local--I just wanted to clarify the direction in case any folks started heading up the Shankill/Falls looking for the site there by mistake!

all the best,

Keith

Seems a handy place to camp a night when the steampacket boat drops us off in Belfast at midnight. I wonder if I could camp there overnight before going back up north in the morning?
