Rough Value
Rough Value
Does anyone know an approx value of a Braithwaite bicycle. The National Cycle Museum have dated it 1900 -1908. It has been repainted but has all original components and is excellent condition. Thanks in advance
Re: Rough Value
Probably what you get. Historical value can vary so much.
Re: Rough Value
If you are looking to sell, you could contact https://tc-auctions.com/ . They have auctions of vintage cycles & cycling memorabilia from time to time. I have never sold with them but a dozen years back I bought at one of their auctions & they seemed straightforward to deal with.

Re: Rough Value
The National Cycle Museum don't do valuations, it's part of our policy.
As has been said above, it is a particularly difficult thing to do.
Rarity, condition, provenance. As has been suggested, a specialist auction house would be your best bet.
TC Auctions are long established and have a good reputation.
And you will probably find that the valuation is between x and y with quite a big gap.

Re: Rough Value
It is not 'worth' anything. It is an old steel repainted sit up and beg bicycle!
