I sometimes use a GoPro type mount hanging below the very end of the (usually) right drop on the handlebars.

But then my lights (Exposure) can be mounted either way up & they do a GoPro mount with an Exposure QR mount (which usually lives on the underside of my out-front computer mount).

If you get a front lamp of the type that straps onto the handlebars, you should be able to strap it onto the front fork perhaps (assuming you can't strap it? Depends on the beam pattern of course, if the lamp ends up sideways!
