he's caught his places back up after yesterday's blunder

Read today the unfortunate news that last year's winner, Fiona, was mugged last night. They took her purse and tracker. She's going to carry on

That’s really bad! Do you have a link?

Explains why her tracker hasn’t moved though.

I was about to type:
It's on their twitter feed https://twitter.com/transconrace/status ... wsrc%5Etfw

or https://twitter.com/transconrace/
That's probably the best place to see upto date news.

Seems very odd they don’t know where the tracker is. :?:

Send the boyz round....!

Sorry to hear it.

The parcours seems to be punishment beatings on the road . Must be related to fell race organisers!

You can turn them off (well, on the old ones you certainly could).

And I'm pretty sure you can take the battery(s) out!

Are they allowed to buy food or does all food have to be carried.

I presume the former?

They can buy stuff along the route, what they can’t do is have a support team to give them stuff.

Not sure how Kolbinger is going to manage with no money/cards.

I'd be stashing large euro notes in different bags...

I'm sure the cp staff would help her out at the next CP.

There again it's not the tdf where they wait for each other!

I think Fiona got her cards cancelled and got some cash from a back I guess? She has a tracker again at least...

Yes, I think they’d said previously that she wouldn’t get a new tracker until CP2 but looks like they’ve revised that.

TCR No. 8 started last night. Friend of the forum Mike Broadwith is taking part.
