Handstands, somersaults, kissing, and attention seeking to the promoters on your shirt, I suppose this no longer happens in football today.

I suppose no cards can be given for invading the press conference for a mass dance and shout/song since match over a ref off to the pub.
Like many found it amusing and joyful.
Tho can't help wondering what the social/media response would have been if a men's team had done this.

Not me. I'm full of admiration for them. Not that I watched it or followed them, but well done to them.

I'm querying why a Neil Diamond song about sweet Caroline should be an anthem.

The linked Wikipedia article essentially says that it's sung because it's popular. Doesn't really explain how or why it became so.

It gives the history and the rather surprising geography.

I presume that for any song to become a sports anthem it has to have some musical properties such as a simple melody, a chorus, call and response...

So I'd give that article some marks for how...

... and if anyone knows more about why... it's really easy to edit Wikipedia. : - )

I gotta say I probly didn't help by carping about sing-along songs - I apologise! Specially as I really enjoyed the footie game and women's sport in general - I always watch the women's cricket team games here at home and they're great fun - even with the Neil Diamond sing-alongs!!

Fouling in football is the norm due to the nature of the game,it's a contact sport and so fouls do happen at whatever level.

The invented by men,etc, slogan is a friendly dig at the England men's teams lack of success in the same competition,no more no less.
I'm not familiar with the "bra" slogan as I haven't followed anything after the game's end,so can't comment.

I don't think I've compared the two gender's game.IMO from what I've seen of both games I much prefer the women's game,it's just as skillful and lacks the cynicism of the men's game.
That said I'm no expert on on the game whatsoever just an archair viewer
