Re: Deviock Cornwall?
It surely dated me when I assumed that Patterson postcards were widely recognised. I see he died in 1952, which will be why his drawings in the CTC Gazette seemed dated when I joined the club in 1958. This is from 2021

Either 4th from left on the top row or the one on the far right losing his hair.
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840
Re: Deviock Cornwall?
On the far right is Mr Simcock, the headmaster!
Actually, when we had that photo taken, he was on the far left as far as we were concerned.
Anyway, I'm not on the back row.
I could name most of the boys and the girls, and the boy top left, is the older brother of a chap on this very forum.
Clue:
I have a broken right wrist, and wearing a plaster-cast, and hiding it next to Brent and behind Kathleen.

Back to the picture, it stuck in the back of my mind that it reminded me of somewhere i had been. When the link to Coombe Bisset came up i realised i have driven along the A354 in both directions on a dozen occasions so passed the church which is quite prominent from the road.

There is a wonderful typo in that list of additional reading - 'Winded Wheel, 100years of the CTC'!!thirdcrank wrote: ↑18 Aug 2022, 5:25pm It surely dated me when I assumed that Patterson postcards were widely recognised. Well spotted! I'd not seen it. On following my own link I find that the extra reading has been reduced to three items including the Winged Wheel.pedalsheep wrote: ↑19 Aug 2022, 8:28amThere is a wonderful typo in that list of additional reading - 'Winded Wheel, 100years of the CTC'!! :lol:thirdcrank wrote: ↑18 Aug 2022, 5:25pm It surely dated me when I assumed that Patterson postcards were widely recognised.
