Garmin Edge Explorer

Hi all,
I use a Garmin Edge Explorer with Komoot added as an app with an iphone XR. My problem is that the Garmin will not connect with the phone unless I remove it then add as a new device, it will then connect with phone and work ok until i switch the Garmin off. Is anybody else having this issue or have I a faulty unit.

Any help, advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

How are the devices connecting... cable, WiFi, Bluetooth... ?

Bluetooth, the iPhone say connected to Edge but the Garmin is still searching and will not connect.

I’ve given up on the Bluetooth and gone back to using a cable and Garmin express I find it simpler and not so frustrating. I’m using an old Garmin 810.
