Can I just replace with the core from an old inner tube?

Yeah. I keep every valve core I can, just in case.

Cheers for that! I had tried it to see and it had not worked, but tried again today and worked first time! Hopefully new core + top-up will sort the tyre deflating overnight.

Is it a new tyre? When I first went tubeless the tyres did slowly deflate and needed pumping up every day. This lasted for several weeks so I just assumed it’s the way it is with tubeless. Eventually though it improved and the seal must have got better as the sealant penetrated further.

Just starting to think abou new tyres and whether I’m going tubeless again.

Several years old, one bent valve core and a couple plugs for punctures that weren't fixed by sealant.
