The pair of us shared two chicken thighs and a breast, done slowly in a pot in the (coal-fired) oven, with boiled spuds, carrot swede, and cauliflower and broccoli florets.

The dog enjoyed licking out the chicken pot afterwards!

Chicken Korma, rice and pappodams followed by fresh pineapple and blueberries.

Moules et frites for lunch.

My wife had Modules et Frite for lunch, I had Chef's salad. We are in Calais, coming home through the tunnel tomorrow morning.
We had quiche and salad for tea. Me Quiche Lorraine and my wife Quiche au Saumon.
We have Tarte au pommes to follow in a few minutes.
All washed down with a glass of Fleurie

Where I am people have started booking Xmas dinners.Badly needed by restaurant trade.

It's only been a couple of weeks since I've been able to do my home brew beer again as the summer was too hot for me to ferment.

My first bottling session this Sunday morning with a pork joint in the oven for lunch. The smell of beer (Woodford Wherry kit) and the Sunday roast in the kitchen was simply sublime.

Hotpot for us this evening.

Lamb neck chops and layers of thinly-sliced potatoes and onions. Slow-cooked in the Stanley, cast iron and coal-fired.

Had a very boring, but lovely meat feast pizza and some chips, very healthy i know lol

Bangers & mash, with broad beans and fried onion.

We have a beef stew in the oven. Diced onions, spuds, carrot, swede.
Been simmering for three hours or more.

Mrs Mick F will be making suet dumplings to add to it later.

Seems to me you are often in a stew....I'll get me coat...
