Through the winter, I try to have two “proper bike rides” each week, so more than just local errands, an hour if it is horrible outside, two or more if it’s bordering on decent. December was “bad news” due to thick ice on my favoured winter paths for s fortnight, which messed up the plan, and last week wasn’t great due to bitterly cold, damp winds, but overall not too bad a winter, and towards the end of February I was doing rides that are normally April business because cross country bridleways were so dry.

Today though, the wind is insanely strong, so, no thank you!

TrevA: "I'm lucky enough to live in a small town (Bingham) where I can be out onto quiet country lanes within a few minutes of leaving home. I used to live in the suburbs and one of the reasons we moved here was to get better access to good cycling routes."

Lucky indeed - I took the train to Bingham very recently to meet with a CTC Ride at Langar and then ride back home (Beeston)!

Moving house not a possibility.
