British Cyclist Dies in Sri Lanka

Post by simonhill »

I picked this up from TripAdvisor. Not much info.

https://www.dailynews.lk/2022/11/02/law ... -fall-tour

"The deceased is a 54-year-old woman named Julie Nicola Barker."

The road from Ella is a steep descent, so lots of possibilities, but no point in speculating.

If they rode to there in 2 days then likely the group were experienced cyclists, but could have been transported part of the way.

If anyone gets any further info, please post.

I know that descent it is very steep in parts and is also prone to dampness early in the day.
There is your way. There is my way. But there is no "the way".
