This was something that was concerning public health services when my wife retired (from an associated area) about 12 years ago.

Nothing new then. There's still life in the old dog.

I recall a genito-urinary medicine colleague telling me , a few years ago, that they were seeing a huge rise in HIV infection in the over 55s; due to unprotected sex with post-menopausal women.
The oldest new HIV case I saw was late 60s. He was adamant he caught it swimming in a lake in Thailand.
