Ribble had a Wobble but all seems to be good now.

Companies House have posted a notice to stike-off Cyclesport North Limited (aka Ribble).

AIUI it's because their accounts remain unfiled. Hopefully there's a window of opportunity for the folks at Ribble to sort things out and stop the process before the plug is pulled.

Edit - Title,

Ribble are owned by true capital,

Therefore the remaining company would be wound up.

The Reddit thread linked below suggests that the notice is a standard procedure initiated if a company has not submitted accounts on time. It isn't clear if this tardiness indicates a serious trading situation.

Quote: "Someone has failed to submit accounts on time and the government is saying they need to get them submitted or they'll be shut down. This doesn't mean at all that the business is going under, but it does show a certain lack of discipline among the board."

They've claimed on twitter they're fine and it's just pwc being slow:

What Gaz said is on the Money. It's standard practice by Companies House if you are late filing accounts.

Accounts now showing as filed and steps to have the company "struck-off" have been revoked. Phew.

They're a bit swift with their sabre-rattling, aren't they? Late filing would have got us us a snotty letter, but that was disingenuous because they'd have been rubbing their hands over the extra 10% they'd have slapped on any company tax due. We'd have had to be completely wound up to have been struck off.

I reckon PWC has had a snotty letter or two from Ribble by now - if that was the real reason.
Have we got time for another cuppa?
