My COPD specialist nurse stopped measuring my FEV etc when my "lung age" hit 94 2-3 years ago. Presumably no point in measuring beyond that because I will be dead quite soon!
I was already borderline extreme when first diagnosed 12 years ago and prognosis was 2 years only of independent living.
Stopped the fags then, after over 50 years, and continued my cycling "every day" regime. Certainly slower post-covid c. 9 mths ago, but just topped 1,000 miles YTD.
Can't keep it at bay much longer!
