Electrolyte tabs and stevia

Hi, I take electrolyte tabs as they are very good if you have atrial fibulation (I have paroxysmal a-fib) I was taking Nunn tablets ( which have stevia extract in them) I have just found out that erythritol (which is in most stevia products) has been linked to serious heart problems. I emailed Nunn support and they say:- The amount of stevia leaf extract is proprietary information and so is the specifics around which kind of stevia leaf extract we use. The stevia used is GRAS from FDA. (GRAS means generally recognised as safe). Anyone recommend any decent electrolyte tabs? I would imagine most are going to have some synthetic sugar in them.
Regards - John

I used nuun tablets in the past - I've never considered the health risk but I would think it's negligible - given that almost anything can be harmful if taken to excess - but if you're in doubt don't use them.
The days I use another make of electrolyte tablet because it's easier to obtain.
I normally only use electrolytes in warm weather and I usually have a bottle of plain water as well.

Welcome.

Which electrolytes are you trying to supplement, and why?

Why are you taking stevia extracts?

Thanks

Jonathan

PS: I'm guessing that the concern about the erythritol includes this recent paper:
