It is Italian ,coming from a Milanese fashion designer. Hence

Car-ah-dee-chay

as in Duce-Doo-chay for Benito Mussolini.

The clever Italians pretended they were made in Nelson ,to appeal to British pride

I'm a Lancastrian, from heritage, upbringing, and schooling. Flat vowels, Wigan accent, the lot. This is despite being in the RN and living in Cornwall for nearly 40 years.

It's carra-diss to me .......... ee by gum! :D
Perhaps my assumption on this (which seems to be correct, judging by the video clip) was based on the pronunciation of Allardyce. Sam Allardyce's mother-in-law used to live close to my parents, so I was familiar with his name from a long time back. And although it uses "yce" rather than "ice", I think I have assumed than the pronunciation is the same. So I have always gone with "ice", as in frozen water, as the ending.

A thread like this is very difficult to do without use, and knowledge, of Indian Pale Ale.

Carra - dice - after Wilf Carradice who started the company. Apparently the staff find it highly amusing if people pronounce it as if it were Italian!!

Bit off-topic, but I came across an Italian café in Scotland recently, called Bacchialdi's – because it's behind a certain supermarket.
