Bike hating wife - help needed

I need your help – my Mrs absolutely hates my bike so much so that it is now called Harry as it has to live under the stairs half exposed to the rain.
To be fair it is more my carelessness that she hates, a couple of examples of things I ‘may’ have done that has contributed to this utter contempt for all things bike.
1. Fallen off twice and spent a few too many hours in A+E getting stitches (to be fair I am still well behind the annual rugby tally but still at 17 bike related stitches that is a few)
2. Made a 'little' mess of the kitchen table with greasy parts
3. Put a 18 inch stain on the white / cream curtains (which I managed to get caught in my chain) – Which I found very funny especially as the curtain poll fell down in my efforts to fix the problem (i.e. turn the curtains round the other way)
So my question is are there any other clumsy so and so’s out there and do you have any tips to help pacify an angry wife before my bike (or me!) is put on ebay

Use bike instead of car to go to work/shops/run errands/etc. Buy the Mrs something nice with the money you save by not buying petrol.

Uh, ohhhhh. So you're minimising your carbon footprint while she's happy to max hers?
Does she dislike your bike because subconciously it's a constant reminder to her of her profligate approach to CO
2?

Ah, then tell her that you have agreed with her dislike of the bike, that you want your car back and that she has to go and buy herself her own car. She might suddenly see things your way

For some reason, flowers seem to work in most situations. I'd definitely try flowers.

Yup, if you drop a pot of petunias on her from six floors up she'll have other things on her mind
