Family accommodation Holland

Post by JayM »

Hello,

Our family of three is planning a cycle trip up the Dutch Coast this July.

Anyone got any recommendations for family accomodation in Nord- or Zuid-Holland? Preferably somewhere with a swimming pool, playground etc.

Thanks in advance!

We stayed at the Stayokay hostels and at one of the caravan parks at Duinrell when we went a few years ago.

The Stayokay hostels were good, and offered breakfasts, evening meals, games rooms, self catering kitchens, and family rooms.

Duinrell is a family theme park with pools, water slides and rides. There are several companies offering caravan accomodation round the park, I think we used Eurocamp. Duinrell was certainly a highlight with the children.

We've stayed at Duinrell, both lightweight camping at the park's campsite and taking one of their chalets.

It's quite common for Dutch campsites to have small huts available, which we've resorted to rather than the tents when the kids were younger and the rain was heavy...

Thanks for the input so far, these are great suggestions.

Duinrell was my first choice but it is all booked up and very expensive. Should have asked this a few months ago...

To be clear, we're after the kind of place with communal facilities where our son can play with other kids.

Any more for any more?
