when camping/freecamping.
what do folks use?
Have tended to use some normal domestic shampoo for the lot on basis that if it's OK for hair will be kind enough to rest of me, not do clothes any arm and be strong enough for my fairly undemanding washing up needs.
But now I see from some quick research that there are special products for this.
Any point to them?
what do you folks use?

I take baby wipes they clean my body and my pans. Use my cooking oil for a wet shave. I’m not going to carry enough water for a proper wash.

One of my bros is a production designer, and he once designed a bottle filling, capping and labelling machine for export, which took one feedstock, filled two different styles of bottle with it, labelled one for dishwashing, and the other as shampoo.
Not sure what that tells you.

This one usually. However although it can do hair it doesn’t do mine- I take a small shower gel for hair and body.

That's like the processed food industry too - they have developed a single, universal paste which they colour and add or remove various special pellets to make it crisp, say, or salty, or like raspberries ect ect ect and then poot it out onto different trays. Then we eat it.
Don't wash with it though...

Liquid soap, it used to be called liquid soap flakes, I think there's only one UK manufacturer, Dri-Pak, though it's often rebranded by retailers as an own brand, the website lists where to find it. I use it for a lot of home laundry. delicate or technical; fabrics, decant into a smaller bottle and take it camping as an all purpose soap. I've never considered trying any camping specific soap, I'd be surprised if there was much difference other than bottle size and price.

That's the kind of "special" stuff i was thinking of, but can't help but wonder that it's just overpriced soap and little different functionally from aldi shampoo?

I think it’s quite concentrated which is what you want. From my point of view I mostly wanted something small. Otherwise save a small bottle and pop some fairy or your shower gel in it- it’ll all work. Although I wouldn’t want to wash my hair with fairy liquid.

Yep have used that for washing merino.
Last time i peered at the bottle though it appeared to now have some things added, so am confused as to how they can describe it as pure. Also would be concerned about using on hair.
Good suggestion for laundry and dishes though.
Yorkshire Trading shops sel it i think. Wilko used to sell it own branded, though have now changed supplier. Tho describe it as "original", whatever that means.

Nothing in that gives me any qualms about using it for everything.

Dr Bronners concentrated soap. Handily available in small containers and lots of flavours. It really is concentrated, just a few drops needed.

We use DP for all our clothes washing, pot washing and liquid soap dispensers. We used to buy it from Wilko and no longer. I would not recommend their own brand which they now sell. It has enzymes in it. We now buy our DP off EBay 12 at a time.
I left a review for Wilko"s own on their web site expressing disappointment . They took it down as it didn’t meet their criteria.

Am pretty sure the bottle I looked at the back of had more than soap (sunflower) listed as ingredients.
maybe they have changed something?
At the time I was looking for something to wash technical gear with.
will check again next time am in a shop which sells it.
EDIT EDIT
aha - here on the waitrose page:
https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/ ... 2431-82432
I find this, under ingredients, which matches what I remember from my shop peering.
**15-30% Soap, Aqua, Potassium Sunflowerseedate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Citrate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate, Tetrasodium Etidronate
How can it be described as pure soap when the ingredients list says 15-30 per cent soap?
Also, am no chemist but what are all those other ingredients?
It is true though that the Waitrose blurb says that it is fine for personal use.
"It's ideal for laundry, general cleaning and personal care. People with sensitive skin love Pure Liquid Soap as it has no allergen triggers for the vast majority of the population."
