Holiday getaway
Holiday getaway
Passed this vehicle today at Athelney on the Somerset levels.
Tents are so last year's accessories. At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840
Re: Holiday getaway
Does it have a toilet? And a kitchen?
Re: Holiday getaway
Looks like a bike trailer that got out of hand.
When it passed us going the other way it appeared to be close to the legal speed limit about 15mph and the rider wasnt struggling. Not sure i'd be happy going downhill on it unless it had an independent braking arrangement on the caravan.

Re: Holiday getaway
The position of the caravan axle seems odd to me, likely to throw a very high proportion of weight onto the tow-hitch.

Its a growing thing in Germany, self builds and off the shelf usually towed with electric assist, you will see in the vid that some do indeed have toilets on board and cooking facilities included.
Convention? what's that then?

I'm not sure what this is for. If you're pulling that along you are forced to stick to roads. I'm certain it will attract a lot of road rage.

Do they make double bed versions for tandemists?
