First 6 miles today

Post by Pinhead »

After 12 years finally back.

For the past three weeks I have been using a trainer in doors (65 and a 14s 10lb) to get used to working again, also I have this and so 2,500 steps a day, 1,250 am 1,250 afternoon (love it).

BOTH 100% meant that today when I went out at Cors Caron I LOVED every minute, stopping to sit in the sun, heard a cuckoo, saw dragon flies and listened to grass hoppers.

I know it was just a 3 mile round trip, and that is all I want, being autistic (not stupid) I am back :) :)

Oh, I did come to a stop and fell off dismounting, LOL

Well done.

Have you worked out why you fell off?

It's the smiles, not the miles that count :D
I'm always falling off. Just one of those things :)

Yes, going too slow to turn handlebars headed to a hedge, more speed better control, idiot :(

Thanks.

Were your feet attached to the pedals?

And when's the next ride?

Great stuff (the ride, not the sudden, unplanned dismount)!

If you can find the time, a good way to build up is to go for a ride every day, simply going one mile further each day than the day begore. I re-started after Covid by doing that, and it worked a treat, at no stage feeling as if I was over-reaching myself.
