How do you feel?

Is cycling and running good or bad to keep spinal discs in good condition?
ps after a marathon I think people are (temporarily) up to half a cm shorter.

Well I blame cycling, especially looking behind me, plus old age for the pains and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. At one stage I would get pains shooting down my arm if I tilted my head to the left. An MRI scan showed "typical age-related degeneration of the discs and vertebrae".

At the moment they are OK for which I credit the warm weather +/- pilates +/- rear view mirror +/- much less cycling.
