Recent spate of duplicate posts/threads

I don't know what the cause is, but I have noticed that lately submitting a post etc. often seems to take longer than previously. It typically takes 10 seconds or so now before it completes.

I suspect the duplicate posts might be caused by clicking on 'submit' a second time while waiting for it to complete and the page to refresh.

Whatever the cause, if the duplicate post is the last post in a thread, the poster can delete it themself using the button marked 'x'. If it's a first post starting a new thread, deletion of the post will also delete the duplicate thread.

I have also noticed this, and did a duplicate post the other day. I pressed "submit" and nothing seemed to happen, so I pressed it again and ended up with two identical posts. I was able to delete one of these and tidy up, but something does seem to have changed.

Was almost certainly a DNS issue, causing notification emails to take up to ten seconds to send.

Should have been fixed for a while now.
