The one thing not to get involved with is what is known as a bicycle tent.
You think it is going to save on tentpoles by using the bike as poles but for me it was absolutely no good at all because the bike was like a wall down the middle.
If you wanted more safety for a bike by pretending it was a tent pole then that was fine but otherwise useless. It also provided more dry storage space.

Tents...try the MacPac Micro Lite...Lighter than the Saunders, and has options in terms of inner tent floor material.
