Did this great ride yesterday using the Tyne cycle tunnel and Sheilds ferry. Sadly the ferry is under threat due to lack of funding for a new terminal at North Sheilds. Not that I saw much wrong with the existing one unless anyone knows better...

Did part of this ride when staying in our Campervan at the site near Seaton Sluice. We rode down the coast and crossed the Tyne on the Tynemouth ferry, then carried on further south to the Lighthouse, south of South Shields (Souter Lighthouse?). I was towing our dog in the trailer. We stopped off at Tynemouth Castle on the way round.
