Is ITV4 likely to broadcast highlights?
I know it's on paying channels but is it available elsewhere.
Maybe on Spanish TV? I have a proxy connection so it would be better than nothing.

Are you sure? I can see it listed on Quest, first episode 11 pm next Saturday, but I wonder if it'll get moved to DMAX like the Giro.

Now GCN/Warner Bros have got their claws in, I doubt ITV will outbid them.

I can't see Vuelta 2023 in the ITV schedules for this weekend (sat 26th august).
Shame.

A search around shows the highlights are listed on Quest channel in 'discovery plus' program listings -

I prefer to watch on a laptop which requires opening a free account for discovery plus.

edit. I've just fired up the tv and found Quest (channel 12 in S Yorkshire).
Vuelta highlights listed there Sat 26th 23.00. (edited to correct listed timing.)

No mention of it on this ITV page either, they will have the Tour of Britain, which I may make a trip out to see somewhere around Manchester.

A friend told me recently the BBC commentary at the UCI Worlds was so poor they watched it on mute. That’s an option

I doubt we will, didn't work last time. It does for everything else, just not the race.

If it follows previous years there'll not be much actual footage and plenty of discussion between the presenters. The female seemed very in love with herself!
No complaints, I'll get to see the finishes and it's free.

GCN+ and BBC are targeting very different audiences with cycling coverage. One is someone who pays to watch cycling, probably knowledgeable of the rules and personalities. The other a more generic sports fan who needs a lot of extra information.

I’m guessing that’ll be Orla. I don’t mind the studio chat actually. I find that Sean Kelly and Carlton Kirby are quite hard work to listen to as commentators although when the studio team participates in commentary they’re all fine. As I’m in France atm I can watch the live coverage in english, anything else eg the live show is in French so whilst it would be good for my French I’m sticking to th English version.

That was a phenomenally slippy team tt and more damage limitation than anything else.
