Specialites-TA inner chainring compatibility.

Post by Jules59 »

The Specialites-TA X110 Inner Chainring is compatible with Shimano Ultegra 6800

Does anyone know if it would be compatible with later Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset ?

I particularly want a 33T ring, which Shimano dont make. I had a 33T on my old bike and I wish I still had it - good for steep climbs I found.

https://specialites-ta.com/double/10-1- ... ure,33-dts
Compatible avec :
Dura-Ace R9100
Dura-Ace 9000
Ultégra R8000
Ultégra 6800
105 R7000
105 5800
Tiagra 4700
RS510 4 branches
But see see also SJS - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/chainrings/ ... nring-33t/
The X110 chainrings are compatible with the Shimano Dura Ace 9000/R9100, Ultegra 6800/R8000 and 105 5800/R7000 11 speed chainsets.

For complete compatibility you must replace both inner and outer with TA rings.

The TA inner chainrings have the cutout to fit the revised shape of the 8000 series cranks - ergo they fit.
I use TA inners with Shimano outers without problem, BTW.

Thanks all.
Ive now installed my TA 33T inner chain ring.
No problems encountered.
Gear change quality is unaltered despite there is now a difference of 17 teeth between outer and inner chain ring.
