Airnimal Joey - rear mudguard slippage/Manual

Post by steveparry »

I've just bought a used Airnimal Joey. The rear mudguard is slipping round the wheel. On inspection it's because there is no bolt through the bottom of the mudguard into the frame... Can anyone advise what size bolt I need? Looks like a 5mm bottle holder bolt might fit. Though maybe the head would protrude onto the tyre... The bike came with no manual/guide book... On Airnimal's website I can find no manual/guide book/written instructions on folding and maintenance. It's about ten years old with 8 speed Alfine hub and front disc brake. Does anyone have a pdf? Thanks.

Any chance of a photo of the mudguard and bottom bracket area, of which you mention?

It's a standard type rear mudguard fixing to bracket. I wonder why there is tape over the bracket?

I generally use M5 button flange bolts when tyre clearance is tight

What Colin says. But if it isn't M5 try larger or smaller accordingly.
