Joey Airnimal - User manual?

Post by steveparry »

I've been on Airnimal's site. Can't find anything resembling a user manual. Emailed them; they replied helpfully re fixing rear mudguard using a zip tie. But nothing regarding a manual... It's about ten years old with front disc and rear Alfine hub gears - see photos. Can anyone point me to a manual? Thanks.

What is it you need to know? There's youtube videos of the various folds and everything else is standard parts.

I don't think Airnimal have ever printed a manual, all Airnimal specific stuff, ie fold sequence, you were directed to the website even when i first came across them over 20 years ago (my Chameleon was originally built on a 2002/3 frame), for components you got the bundle supplied by the mfr.
Convention? what's that then?
Airnimal Chameleon touring, Orbit Pro hack, Orbit Photon audax, Focus Mares AX tour, Peugeot Carbon sportive, Owen Blower vintage race - all running Tulio's finest!

Does the web archive (way back machine) have any of the old stuff?

How many bikes come with real manuals these days? My 2004-era Brompton did but none of the other bikes I have. OK, the Raleigh had a generic red booklet. I think my wife's Claud Butler had one. My tout terrain had something plus paperwork from some but not all of the components, importantly the Rohloff gears were included with their guarantee and service schedule.
I am NOT a cyclist. I enjoy riding a bike for utility, commuting, fitness and touring on tout terrain Rohloff, Brompton ML3 (2004) and Wester Ross 354 plus a Burley Travoy trailer.

It has the folding instructions, the models have changed slightly over the years, but the folding has remained the same. Everything else is standard, it also variable, apart from the frame any manual for steveparry's Joey would be unlikely to apply to either of the two I've had.
