Maybe if all the lazy sods ordering overpriced generally crap food from these delivery sites stopped that would solve the bulk of the problem.

Sheep will eat sheep-nuts when they're offered. "Them taste good and we like 'em".

The sheep or the nuts ? Or do the nuts eat the sheep?

The nutters eat the junkfud brought to them, for an exorbitant fee, by an exploited on a small but dangerous machine, all arranged by an exploiter who is not unlike a sheep farmer, really. The delivery folk are perhaps the abused collies, worked to near death then left to die of neglect?

Cynical - aye. We humans are a bad lot!

As to the collie-abuse - I can only suggest a visit to the local collie rescue place, run by volunteers and currently holding 100 collies rescued from abusive farms across Wales. There's a queue now to get in but no room for those still being abused, neglected or just shot or drowned as they're replaced by younger beasts.

Not to say that there aren't farmers and shepherds who love their dogs. But there's plenty of the other sort, as the collie rescue place will attest, with gory details. They aren't very good with their sheep and coos, either. Callous.

When I'm dictator, such nasty farmer will be strapped to an electric bike (a legal one) and made to do the collie work themselves. Recharging will by by means of a large farmer-sized hamster wheel, located in a dark & dank shed.

They might enjoy that too much -- no just hit them where it hurts a farmer most -- charge the faulty ones land property rates per acre. Free money for the Labour party which means you'll get your winter fuel allowance back -- two problems sorted with one stone.

That's using the same OPSS data as upthread. And that's just the sort of information that will allow us to identify the risk factors.

And the rest of it from the trade is interesting. Thanks for posting.

Expect an increase in 2nd hand e-bike sales listings on this Forum?

"8 October 2024
EBay will clamp down on the sale of e-bikes and e-bike batteries in the UK from 31 October, the BBC has learned.

The firm says that only "eligible business sellers" will be allowed to list them after this date.

It did not explain what the necessary criteria would be."

Forcing even legit ads on to other platforms will make buying more risky.

I just go to the yose power site anyway -- wouldn't be buying batteries or chargers from eBay. I bought an extra charger from yose, yes it's £30 instead of £15 but I can afford that -- what I can't afford is a fire.

I wonder what proportion of fires are e-scooters rather than e-bikes. I get the impression they are being conflated.
