Hope this is the right place to ask but...
... does anyone remember the guy who rode around dishing out historical facts on a BBC series? He wore (as I recall) a day glow outfit and his bike had a single axle front fork. I think there were two series made. I cannot remember the title of the programme or the gentleman's name (put it down to age). Any pointers appreciated.
Many thanks.

Some of the episodes of Local Heroes are available on YouTube.
For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=842XvWGtt9E
A search for "adam hart davis local heroes" brings up 29 assorted episodes - I expect there are others in there if you search more thoroughly.

Ahh how I miss Adam and his day glo gear. Always fascinating programmes with his improvised experiments in all kinds of odd places.
It should be revived.
