We're heading out from St Malo next week and will head west. As we're short of time we'd like to get a train back again but the websites are tricky to use.

Has anyone taken a train back to the St Malo area from Carhaix or Quimper with their bike?

Do French trains take bikes?

There's some good advice (and links) over in this thread: http://forum.ctc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=15584. I find the sncf website almost impossible to use, but the timetable search on bahn.de is very reliable, in my experience: just check the box for 'carriage of bicycles required'.
