Only if heavily reduced in sale…

I am 100% sure other makes will now follow, I do have two of these (two bikes)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1
And one of these as a supplement
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1
But as I am planning to go away for a few days cycling next year and leave the bike outside of the travel lodge or B and B I don't want to find it missing the next day
OK then what DIAMOND security does other people here have
Diamond secure Chains ????????
Thanks

Are you aware that Travelodges (and possibly other places) let you take your bike and all its luggage into your room? Or they used to. They try and give you an accessible room on the ground floor so you can just wheel your bike in with all its kit, and leave / lock it in your room. This saves all the aggro of taking all the luggage off and the worry of leaving the bike outside. A polythene sheet / bin bag to stand the bike on is good if it is wet weather.
I'd check with the place you plan to stay rather than assume, but it has worked for me in the past.
Worth asking at B&Bs as well - they may have a lockable garage / outbuilding / utility room that can help.

I note that the advertising says only that the lock 'resists' a grinder. So does any lock, up to a point.

Steel Abus 6 minutes to cut with a grinder, LiteLock X1, 17 minutes to cut with a grinder.

I've never once had to leave a bike locked up outside a B&B or hotel.
Premier Inn, Travelodge, Holiday Inn etc all allow bikes in the rooms (you can request a ground floor room to aid with this).
Most B&Bs, especially in tourist places have secure bike storage options, you won't need a £250 lock!

Agreed, but it is worth asking before you have to pay anything non-refundable. Even the chains that normally allow bikes have a few hotels that don't.
I refuse to stay in hotels that tell me to leave the bike in shopper parking overnight and have always found suitable accommodation.

I've used all three with bikes in the room, though it's mostly been the first two, I think I've only stayed at one Holiday Inn with a bike.
Premier Inn have bike accommodation as a company policy, that's meant in the room at every one I've stayed in. It isn't policy at Travelodge, I thought it was and had to argue my way into an Oxford one, I wrote a complaint to head office only to be told it was at the managers discretion.

Is this with the OP's E-bike? I wonder if all the recent publicity about fire risks has made storing inside harder. When I booked a B&B in September, I was asked something like "Is it a normal bike", they didn't specifically mention electric, I just thought afterwards that was probably what they were asking.

I think they're worried about tandems, recumbents etc as being generally more of a pain to move around, fit through doorways, around corners etc.
But yes, maybe there are now concerns about the "homebrew" e-bikes and the potential fire risk.
