Bike tyre advice please

Hi
I would be grateful for advice about bike tyres please.

I bought a new Giant contend 2 road bike almost 2 years ago and have ridden approximately 2000 miles on variable road surfaces, no punctures.
I am purely a leisure road rider and tend to ride 15 - 30 miles at a time, not at all serious or competitive.
The rear tyre is a bit squared off with tyre indicator marks well worn away but no threads showing and no cuts still in usable order.
The Giant SR3 tyres 700X28 with tubes, have been very good and they are easy to get on or off the rim. The ride is comfortable.
My tyre pressures are about 68 and 65 psi and I am 64 weighing about 12 stone or 77kg
My question is;
should I buy the same tyre again as fitted to the bike when new or should I buy something better?
The Giant tyre I think is 30 tpi, it costs about £25 from Tredz.
Other potentially better tyres might cost a bit more, which I am happy to pay. But they could be a real pain at the side of the road with a puncture. I have heard that some feel like riding on Nike air shoes which would be very nice. I have nothing to compare the stock Giant tyres with. I have also heard that some tyres have high recommended tyre pressure which might be uncomfortable.
What do you think please?

I have only limited experience of road tyres but I do have the same Giant SR3 tyres as you. So far I have found them to be reliable, puncture-resistant and comfortable to ride. They seem good value too, and I would definitely buy them again.

2,000 miles, no puncture. I'd say that's a pretty good result. I thought I was doing well at 1,000 miles one puncture.

you can spend a lot on tyres and good tyres can feel lovely. But they are rarely as puncture-resistant as the tyres you have right now.
