I read somewhere recently that the cobbled rural roads required for the Paris-Roubaix race are disappearing. See the film "A Sunday in Hell" for one of the best cycling films ever about this race.
I am NOT a cyclist. I enjoy riding a bike for utility, commuting, fitness and touring on tout terrain Rohloff, Brompton ML3 (2004) and Wester Ross 354 plus a Burley Travoy trailer.

They were, but I think Les Amis de Paris-Roubaix are doing a good job of preserving them now.plancashire wrote: ↑2 Dec 2023, 6:13pm I read somewhere recently that the cobbled rural roads required for the Paris-Roubaix race are disappearing.
