I am bracing myself because it will not be like the North Link Ferry to Lerwick! But should still be fun.

The last time I used the first class lounge at Paddington, I simply wheeled my bike into the entrance and leant it against the wall next to all the suit cases that had been stored by other guests. I chose a seat where I could keep an eye on the bike.
No one asked me to move the bike, but I would have done if I was asked.

I was there last year. This is a good idea. I'd guess that it's more likely to work by asking the attendant face to face than by trying to arrange it in advance...

This year the attendent insisted my folder had to be folded for safety reasons, so I wonder what that means for non folders?

Not Paddington , but I normally take my bike into the 1st class lounge at Glasgow Central.
It's pretty spacious, and my bike has always been reasonably clean. I just prop it up somewhere out of the way
