Note some bike ability instructors won't touch these faults as presumably their insurance doesn't cover a catastrophic failure.

you can;t always expect to fix them like that; if the yoke is deformed at the end, such that it needs to bent near the opening, the only way you can reshape it properly is to clamp something about 8mm thickness inside the yoke as a dolly, before reshaping it, hence my allen key comment. This way you can expect to be able to restore the original shape of the yoke exactly if needs be.

This can be done very quickly, without removing the brake, if you use mole grips to clamp the dolly in place.
